About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure backups are protected against unauthorized access and follow information security best practices;
  • Keep detailed records of backup strategies, configurations, tests, and incidents related to backups;
  • Develop and maintain backup plans that meet the organization’s needs, including frequency, backup types (full, incremental, differential) and storage;
  • Install and configure storage resources, including high-availability settings;
  • Define and implement zone policies for access to storage system resources;
  • Use the management tool to perform tasks related to configuration and monitoring of the storage system;
  • Monitor and optimize storage system usage through management tools, performing load balancing when necessary to avoid resource overload;
  • Work with the various user teams of the storage area network (SAN) to track effective space growth, signaling the storage system status to the relevant managers;
  • Log all abnormal events related to the storage area network (SAN), keeping involved managers informed of issues;
  • Create and keep up-to-date all documentation related to the components that make up the storage solution;
  • Follow up on tickets opened with the vendor to resolve high-complexity storage-related issues;
  • Participate in projects, providing technical information on characteristics and sizing of computational resources required to support storage area network (SAN) solutions and all their components;
  • Analyze requirements for sizing resources in the composition of the backup/restore infrastructure;
  • Propose changes to backup/restore policies for servers used in the production environment;
  • Install, configure, update, and remove backup/restore hardware and software in test and production environments;
  • Follow up on tickets opened with the vendor to resolve high-complexity issues related to the backup/restore solution;
  • Perform periodic restore tests to validate backups;
  • Prepare technical documents detailing best practices for use of backup/restore software to be shared with technical teams;
  • Participate in projects, providing technical information on characteristics and sizing of computational resources required to support backup/restore solutions and all their components.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT).
  • Must reside in Fortaleza or nearby municipalities.
  • Experience in information security. Experience must be demonstrated via a Legal Entity (Pessoa Jurídica) contract or employment record (Carteira de Trabalho) showing start and end dates for the activity.
  • ITIL 4 training with a minimum duration of 12 (twelve) hours.
  • Official ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher.
  • Advanced, professional, expert or equivalent certification for the backup tool Commvault and/or Veeam.
  • One of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+ or GIAC GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification).
