About the role

  • Implement and administer Linux operating systems (SUSE, RHEL, Oracle Linux).
  • Manage server virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V), including provisioning, tuning and troubleshooting VMs.
  • Configure HA/DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, templates and datastores.
  • Implement, operate and maintain storage systems (block, file, object) and SAN (zoning, LUNs, multipath, HBA, iSCSI/FC), ensuring data performance, resilience and security.
  • Manage server and storage capacity planning.
  • Automate tasks using Shell scripting and, preferably, Ansible and Terraform.
  • Plan, implement and support infrastructure solutions (on-premises and hybrid), including upgrades, migrations, patches and automations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (diagrams, procedures, runbooks) and operational knowledge bases.
  • Participate in resolution of critical incidents, perform RCA (root cause analysis) and implement preventive actions.
  • Execute performance routines and environment health checks.
  • Handle incident queues and service requests.
  • Implement improvements to the server infrastructure.
  • Administer containers on OpenShift and AKS.
  • Collaborate with development, security and operations teams to ensure quality and predictable deliveries.
  • Perform other related tasks within the area, as requested by leadership.
  • Comply with Lanlink Group procedures, processes, policies and compliance obligations, reporting concerns, issues and compliance failures, and participating in required training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Advanced English (able to conduct technical calls and interpret complex documentation).
  • Hands-on experience with Linux clusters (e.g., Pacemaker).
  • Strong expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter (HA, DRS, vMotion, storage integrations).
  • Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V (failover cluster, Live Migration, VMM).
  • Enterprise-level storage systems (NetApp/DELL/Pure/IBM/etc.) and SAN (FC/iSCSI, zoning, LUNs, multipath).
  • Experience implementing projects and providing production support (operate 24x7 via rota/on-call, when applicable).
  • Solid knowledge of core infrastructure (VLAN, DNS, NTP and DHCP).
  • Experience in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • ITIL practices (Incident, Problem, Change).
  • Desirable certifications: Linux, VMware VCP, Cloud (e.g., AZ-104).
  • Desired knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Desired knowledge of Terraform (infrastructure as code) and CI/CD for infrastructure.
