Product Designer – Trainee
LanguageWireProduct Designer Trainee supporting UX & UI design for web-based products at LanguageWire. Participating in product phases from discovery to delivery with cross-functional teams.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Are you passionate about creating an elegant and intuitive product design our customers love and understand at first glance?
- We are looking for a passionate, hands on Product Designer Trainee who is eager to help us with the company-wide design system and the UX & UI design for our web-based products.
- Together with our cross-functional product teams, you would be participating in all product phases, from discovery to delivery, supporting the product design area to find the best UX flow, create and test prototypes/mockups, and iterate to find the best UI & UX design for the product/feature that users love to work with.
- You work alongside of our main Product Designer with the main objective to get trained and onboarded by her and then later on, when the time comes, work independently with the rest of the team as her maternity leave cover.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You are currently studying or have recently completed studies in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related discipline.
- A portfolio of university, personal, or freelance projects that showcases your design thinking and creativity.
- Expert skills in UI design and prototyping software like Figma.
- Good organizational skills and willingness to learn how to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English. We are an international company, and our company language is English.
- A deep belief that good products are the outcome of teamwork.
- Curiosity, proactiveness, and eagerness to learn and grow in the Product Design field.
- You know the basics of UX design and how it connects to UI design.
- You understand and are happy to take ownership of the different stages of the Product Design process and the collaboration between the roles involved in each phase.
- You enjoy working in a high-pace international and distributed environment.
