About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Handle calls on demand, and render the meaning of conversations between Uzbek and English speakers.
Break the communication barrier in various industries including healthcare, 911, education, etc.
Conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.
Deliver interpretation services via video and expediently type data.
Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation and polite expressions.
Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the sessions.
Remain calm during interpreting sessions if speakers are incoherent or upset.
Follow client instructions to meet expectations with the Limited English-speaking Person (LEP).
Understand protocol and terminology for various industries.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Fluency in Uzbek and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.
Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences.
Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills.
Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, remain neutral and objective.
Education or work experience in language-related fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation or interpretation preferred.
Must be able to adapt to any LLS technology enhancements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and write the requested languages – highly preferred.
