About the role

  • Assist the project team in all stages of the project including preconstruction planning, buyout, daily project management, and closeout.
  • Assist in obtaining, coordinating, and distributing the information and authorizations required to construct the project on time, within budget and to quality standards.
  • Understand and have a working knowledge of contract documents including all drawings and specifications and clearly communicate required information to relevant teams and trades.
  • Request and review subcontractor certificates for compliance.
  • Maintain and update all document controls for the project including, but not limited to: Contract documents, specifications, geotechnical reports, permits, clarifications, field sketches, inspections, daily field reports, sign-in sheets, meeting minutes, submittal logs, RFI logs, change order logs and safety meeting reports.
  • Process change requests and change proposals for price review.
  • Manage the overall cost management of the project budget by controlling expenditures, coordinate billings, and identifying work not covered by subcontractors.
  • Draft agendas, schedule meetings, and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Take progress photos of job site.
  • Obtain occupancy of the project, including participating in the final inspections and approvals by various municipalities.
  • Resolve all punch list issues prior to occupancy.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite to maintain quality and schedule.
  • Provide weekly project updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, Business Administration or relevant major preferred.
  • Internship experience is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and general knowledge of Office 365 are required; Procore PM Software and Blue Beam knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans and financial reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Positive and collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
