About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, execute, control, and coordinate the activities of a project core team to produce deliverables agreed upon with executive and/or functional management
  • Utilize the PMO's New Product Introduction (NPI) procedures and processes to develop new products and/or services for L+G
  • Work within Stage-Gate methodology
  • Scrum management and metric analysis for Agile projects
  • Working with cross functional teams across the globe to ensure products are launched on time and within budget
  • Manage the project(s) and execute activities around the boundaries of scope, schedule, risks, and cost
  • Report project status to the PMO and other stakeholders
  • Manage external, internal, and capital project costs
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field
  • 2 years of experience in Project Management leading software product development
  • Experience in the utility, telecommunications or similarly regulated industries is a plus
  • Understanding Stage-Gate & Agile methodology
  • Excellent understanding of project management scheduling SW tools (Microsoft Project, etc.)
  • Strong negotiating skills for working with stakeholders
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%) to support project activities
  • Experience managing remote teams in different time zones
  • Proven leadership qualities showing the ability to make decisions without perfect information
  • Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move assigned projects forward
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, & listening)
  • Strong ability to resolve conflicts between members of the project team or as needed throughout the organization
  • Excellent organizational abilities needed as multiple projects will be assigned
  • Excellent change management skills. Ability to accept change and respond to setbacks with minimal disruptions
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall & Agile)
