About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, execute, control, and coordinate the activities of a project core team to produce deliverables agreed upon with executive and/or functional management
Utilize the PMO's New Product Introduction (NPI) procedures and processes to develop new products and/or services for L+G
Work within Stage-Gate methodology
Scrum management and metric analysis for Agile projects
Working with cross functional teams across the globe to ensure products are launched on time and within budget
Manage the project(s) and execute activities around the boundaries of scope, schedule, risks, and cost
Report project status to the PMO and other stakeholders
Manage external, internal, and capital project costs
Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field
2 years of experience in Project Management leading software product development
Experience in the utility, telecommunications or similarly regulated industries is a plus
Understanding Stage-Gate & Agile methodology
Excellent understanding of project management scheduling SW tools (Microsoft Project, etc.)
Strong negotiating skills for working with stakeholders
Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%) to support project activities
Experience managing remote teams in different time zones
Proven leadership qualities showing the ability to make decisions without perfect information
Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move assigned projects forward
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, & listening)
Strong ability to resolve conflicts between members of the project team or as needed throughout the organization
Excellent organizational abilities needed as multiple projects will be assigned
Excellent change management skills. Ability to accept change and respond to setbacks with minimal disruptions
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall & Agile)
