About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, execute, control, and coordinate the activities of a project core team to produce deliverables agreed upon with executive and/or functional management
- Utilize the PMO's New Product Introduction (NPI) procedures and processes to develop new products and/or services for L+G
- Work within Stage-Gate methodology
- Scrum management and metric analysis for Agile projects
- Working with cross functional teams across the globe to ensure products are launched on time and within budget
- Manage the project(s) and execute activities around the boundaries of scope, schedule, risks, and cost
- Report project status to the PMO and other stakeholders
- Manage external, internal, and capital project costs
- Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field
- 2 years of experience in Project Management leading software product development
- Experience in the utility, telecommunications or similarly regulated industries is a plus
- Understanding Stage-Gate & Agile methodology
- Excellent understanding of project management scheduling SW tools (Microsoft Project, etc.)
- Strong negotiating skills for working with stakeholders
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%) to support project activities
- Experience managing remote teams in different time zones
- Proven leadership qualities showing the ability to make decisions without perfect information
- Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move assigned projects forward
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, & listening)
- Strong ability to resolve conflicts between members of the project team or as needed throughout the organization
- Excellent organizational abilities needed as multiple projects will be assigned
- Excellent change management skills. Ability to accept change and respond to setbacks with minimal disruptions
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall & Agile)
