About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee architecture, design, and testing of integrations & interoperability of software programs
Consult with customers to scope, design, document, implement and deliver system integration solutions
Architect new solutions and deliver new services to meet customer needs
Work directly with customers to create data mappings involved in architecting the integration solution
Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in testing of newly-integrated software programs
May install and configure software at customer's site and perform user acceptance testing
Understand data quality and how it impacts the final integrated solution
Ensure integration projects meet business requirements and goals
Develop standards, best practices, patterns, and processes to support integration projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering (Power Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred)
10+ years integration experience with 5 years focus on integration architecture
Highly fluent in multiple Web Service standards and technologies including: WCF, XML, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, REST, XSLT (7 years minimum)
Experience working in the electric utility industry with knowledge of utility distribution IT systems such as GIS, AMI, OMS, and MDMS
Knowledge of electric utility operations
Expertise in electric system asset modeling, mathematical algorithms and methodologies used in utility systems
Experience with analytics preferred
The ideal candidate should have experience in data modeling using relational databases
Experience and knowledge of security standards
Knowledge in NoSQL databases, Java, C/C++ programming language, JMS message bus, Javascript
Experience with Active Directory, authentication, virtualization, firewalls, etc.
Exceptional customer engagement skills
Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%)
