About the role
- Opportunity for a Software Development candidate to learn and use real world development skills and receive an introduction into the energy domain.
- The candidate will use multiple technologies including C#, Java, Angular, Visual Studio, GitLab, and related technologies to help create proof-of-concept applications for web-based reading and reporting of electrical meter data.
- Create and enhance code under the guidance of an experienced team.
- Write and enhance unit tests for test driven development.
- Perform functional tests with the resulting applications with electrical meters.
- Analyze and fix defects discovered in testing.
- Work with Docker containers and yaml pipeline scripts to create or maintain CI/CD builds in GitLab.
- Collaborate with the team to log, track, and update defects in Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Contribute from the experience gained to inform future development paths for Landis+Gyr software.
Requirements
- Education or experience in at least one of Java or .Net C# development
- Interest in Software development
- Self-motivated to learn new technology.
- Enthusiastic about online research and problem solving.
- Willingness to work on real-world automation projects in the energy domain
- Strong problem-solving and online research skills.
