About the role
- Assist in mapping the customer business processes into Landis+Gyr software and solutions in form of technical descriptions.
- Have responsibility for the right solution design, proper documentation of the solution and customer/specific processes
- Work with Architects, Developers, support, IT engineers and consultants
- Support RnD team with in new innovations, front-end improvements / adjustments, bugs and feature enhancements
- Provide feedback to R&D for product gaps found during implementation
- Ensure solution design leverages standard product capabilities to minimize custom development where possible
- Act as the technical lead and customer facing architect during delivery projects.
- Represent product capabilities in technical workshops and requirement clarification sessions
- Lead structured and semantic solution design, ensuring clear documentation and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture designs.
- Architect and oversee deployment of productized software solutions across hybrid, containerized, and standalone environments.
- Design robust integration strategies for project delivery, including data exchange via REST APIs, message brokers, and custom components.
- Drive enhancements in delivery workflows in close collaboration with R&D, introducing innovative technologies and approaches to improve productivity, reliability, and automation.
- Assist sales teams in preparing proposals, including infrastructure recommendations, hardware sizing, and integration scenarios.
- Support effort estimation, scope planning, and technical risk evaluation during pre-sales and proposal preparation
- Collaborate with Customer Support teams on issue analysis and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Linux (primary) and Windows environments.
- Ability to synthesize input from diverse stakeholders into actionable architecture.
- Structured, analytical, and semantic thinking approach.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.
- Experience deploying enterprise-grade software solutions in production environments.
- Proficiency in requirements analysis and business analysis.
- Experience with UML modeling in software delivery contexts.
- Proven ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with system operations and upgrades.
- Strong proficiency in both spoken and written communication.
