About the role
- Leverage existing dealer and co-op relationships and identify new distribution opportunities to expand market share within the assigned territory.
- Understand market needs and communicate how the Purina product portfolio addresses those needs; ensure dealers and co-ops are stocked with appropriate inventory.
- Serve as the lead contact for key accounts, including accounts with multiple sellers, and collaborate across Channel Sales to meet revenue targets.
- Independently qualify, pursue, and close new sales opportunities with dealers and co-ops.
- Provide accurate product availability updates and manage inventory levels to support sales execution.
- Support sales growth through on-farm visits and participation in dealer and customer functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Typically 5–10 years of relevant experience in sales, animal nutrition, or a related field.
- Moderate knowledge of the animal nutrition industry, sales practices, and the Purina product portfolio.
- Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex sales and market challenges.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision while contributing to broader departmental and organizational objectives.
