About the role
- Accountable for driving profitable growth, market leadership, and disciplined execution for the Fortiva feed additive portfolio
- Contributes to and executes Fortiva additives' commercial strategy, revenue and margin objectives, and go‑to‑market priorities
- Leads and develops a high‑performing sales organization aligned to customer needs across species and channels
- Monitors performance, market conditions, and competitive dynamics to adjust strategy and protect results
- Directly manages and coaches the sales team, proactively establishing business goals and objectives
- Ensures execution of strategic account plans across key customers and channels
- Partners with Technical Sales Support, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Nutra Blend, and Purina to enable execution excellence
Requirements
- PhD in Animal Nutrition, Physiology, Animal science, Microbiology, Immunology, or related discipline
- 10+ years in Academics and/or production agriculture industry
- Experience in a senior technical sales or director level R&D leadership role with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets
- Strong analytical skills in applied research and commercial testing of products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective owners, vendors, and customers
- Demonstrated ability in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts
- Solid experience using Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must have current and valid state driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 50%-75%, including evenings and some weekends; may require working long hours during peak seasons
