About the role
- Lead the migration of legacy business logic into modern, microservices-oriented or modular monolith .NET architectures
- Architect and build responsive, accessible, and high-performance SPAs using Angular, ensuring seamless integration with backend services
- Design and implement secure, RESTful APIs using .NET 6/8+, emphasizing 'Clean Architecture' principles
- Work with existing SQL databases to optimize queries, design efficient schemas, and ensure data integrity during the transition from legacy access patterns to modern ORM patterns
- Implement and maintain healthcare-specific security standards, including data encryption, HIPAA-compliant logging, and OAuth2/OpenID Connect authentication
- Provide guidance to junior backend and frontend developers, performing rigorous code reviews
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software development
- 7+ years of experience in C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+
- Deep understanding of ASP.NET Web API and Dependency Injection
- 5+ years of professional experience with Angular (TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx / Signals)
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including advanced T-SQL, performance tuning, and indexing strategies
- Proven experience with Design Patterns (Repository, Unit of Work, Factory) and SOLID principles
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit / NUnit for backend and Jasmine/Karma or Jest for frontend
- Minimum of 3 years working on Healthcare products, with a solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and PHI handling
- Previous experience migrating applications from legacy environments to the web
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker)
