Create animations from scratch and refine/clean high-quality motion-capture data to meet client specifications and quality standards.
Prioritize efficient planning, adhere to organizational processes, and communicate effectively with Leads, PMs, and team members to ensure flawless task execution.
Study task specifications and client briefs thoroughly; provide queries and collect references before commencing work.
Work with Lead to provide effort estimates, daily targets, and ensure clarity on specifications and timelines; red-flag ambiguities.
Perform post-production processes as required, including making animations game-engine ready and checking them in the engine.
Provide daily updates of task status to Lead/sub-Lead and proactively solve artistic and technical problems, discussing solutions with Lead/sub-Lead.
Maintain and improve productivity by completing work within allocated time, adopt organizational best practices, and deliver high-quality work with minimal QC errors.
Requirements
Skilled at using industry standard software such as Maya, 3D Studio Max Motion Builder etc.
Skilled at cleaning up and processing high quality Mocap data.
Proficient in creating human and creature animations.
Knowledge of traditional animation fundamentals.
Good knowledge of game art creation pipeline.
2+ years of experience as a game animator.
Professional and friendly in daily conduct.
Able to create, track and maintain realistic and meaningful daily goals and complete planned work on time.
Able to plan work-days and leaves in advance after consultation with the PM and Lead.
Able to create a self-development plan and work on it diligently.
Stays up-to-date with the latest developments in tools and technologies related to game art production.
Able to take timely and correct decisions on how an asset should be created; consults with senior artists/leads to validate the course of action.
Manages stress appropriately in difficult situations to ensure effective teamwork.
Able to regularly communicate with Lead and PM about completion status, planned leaves, problems impacting deadlines, and new learnings.
Able to effectively communicate questions related to allocated assets, asset delivery notes, work status, and feedback tracker comments (in English).
Able to verbally communicate complex problems simply; confident communicating in English with non-Indian team members.
