About the role
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI red teaming engagements, from scoping through final report delivery.
- Act as the primary customer point of contact during active engagements, ensuring clarity, momentum, and trust.
- Partner with customers to define AI-specific testing objectives, threat models, and success criteria.
- Structure red team assignments based on AI system architecture, model types, agent complexity, and engineer skillsets.
- Attend and support engineers during customer kickoffs, technical deep dives, and executive report readouts.
- QA all assessment reports before customer delivery, ensuring technical accuracy, clarity, and actionable findings.
- Establish and maintain quality standards across deliverables, methodologies, and reporting templates.
- Mentor and develop engineers on the red team, identifying skill gaps and creating structured development plans. Drive the evolution of AI red teaming methodologies based on real-world engagement learnings and emerging attack techniques.
- Build scalable delivery processes that support growth, utilization tracking, and capacity planning.
- Coordinate with Sales and Customer Success on pipeline visibility, forecasting, and engagement readiness.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security delivered in a consulting, professional services, or security services environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading security teams serving enterprise-scale organizations.
- A proven track record managing client relationships with large, complex organizations through the full engagement lifecycle.
- Experience scaling a services team or practice, including capacity planning, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort presenting in customer scoping calls, technical deep dives, and executive readouts.
- Experience conducting AI/ML security assessments (e.g., prompt injection, jailbreaking, model security, or agentic systems) is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with AI security frameworks such as OWASP LLM Top 10, NIST AI RMF, or similar standards is strongly preferred.
- An organized, self-starter approach with an eye for finding creative ways to improve processes and deliver excellence at scale.
- A passion for what AI can do for the good of humanity and a desire to ensure that it is implemented in a secure and ethical way.
- Comfortable in a small and fast moving startup environment.
