About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Undertake varied and interesting family-finding and matching casework
Meet with families throughout the Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool region
Contribute to recruitment and assessment of adopters, adoption support, adoption panels, and family finding and matching services
Work as part of the Regional Adoption Agency serving families across Lancashire and Blackpool
Provide supporting evidence in an application statement showing how the role criteria are met

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be registered with Social Work England (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker, or have applied to register with the Social Care Council
Must provide a car for use in connection with the duties of the post
Car must be insured for business use
Applicants unable to drive because of a disability may be considered
Must apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a disclosure if successful
Must submit a supporting statement evidencing how the role criteria are met
Ability to work flexibly and meet families throughout the region
