About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Undertake varied and interesting family-finding and matching casework
  • Meet with families throughout the Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool region
  • Contribute to recruitment and assessment of adopters, adoption support, adoption panels, and family finding and matching services
  • Work as part of the Regional Adoption Agency serving families across Lancashire and Blackpool
  • Provide supporting evidence in an application statement showing how the role criteria are met

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be registered with Social Work England (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker, or have applied to register with the Social Care Council
  • Must provide a car for use in connection with the duties of the post
  • Car must be insured for business use
  • Applicants unable to drive because of a disability may be considered
  • Must apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a disclosure if successful
  • Must submit a supporting statement evidencing how the role criteria are met
  • Ability to work flexibly and meet families throughout the region
