About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Undertake varied and interesting family-finding and matching casework
- Meet with families throughout the Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool region
- Contribute to recruitment and assessment of adopters, adoption support, adoption panels, and family finding and matching services
- Work as part of the Regional Adoption Agency serving families across Lancashire and Blackpool
- Provide supporting evidence in an application statement showing how the role criteria are met
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be registered with Social Work England (SWE) to be appointed as a Social Worker, or have applied to register with the Social Care Council
- Must provide a car for use in connection with the duties of the post
- Car must be insured for business use
- Applicants unable to drive because of a disability may be considered
- Must apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a disclosure if successful
- Must submit a supporting statement evidencing how the role criteria are met
- Ability to work flexibly and meet families throughout the region
