Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a dedicated Young Adults Service team within Adult Social Care.
Provide leadership, professional oversight, and operational management to Social Workers, Senior Social Workers, and Social Care staff.
Oversee workforce performance, supervision, safeguarding practice, assessments, support planning, and reviews.
Work collaboratively with education providers, health services, employment and training agencies, community organisations, families, carers, and partner agencies.

What you’ll need

Qualified Social Worker with substantial post-qualifying experience.
Excellent knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation, transition processes, and safeguarding responsibilities.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff.
Commitment to promoting strengths-based practice, managing risk proportionately, and supporting continuous improvement.
Experience in supporting young adults with a range of needs including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and mental health needs.
