About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supporting the administration and organisation of the College’s Sustained Contact Programme for Key Stage 4 students
- Producing or formatting resources such as information packs, academic resources, timetables, programme advertisement using Canva
- Supporting administration and logistics of on-site school visits, subject taster days, open days, and other events
- Supporting the administration and organisation of outbound school visits
- Providing administrative support for the recruitment and coordination of casual outreach staff
- General management of the joint Outreach email inbox
- Liaising with schools and event attendees
- Maintaining a list of school contacts for advertising College outreach activities
- Purchasing travel tickets and arranging reimbursement for programme participants
- Providing administrative support to the College’s Access Working Group
- Complying with child-protection, risk-assessment and other legal requirements in relation to all events, volunteers and participants
Requirements
What you’ll need- A good standard of education, at least to A Level
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently
- Ability to work well and solve problems under-pressure
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a range of colleagues, students, and external organisations
- Excellent judgement and the ability to know when to use initiative and when to seek advice
- Excellent and up-to-date IT skills, with a good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- An awareness of issues of data privacy, security and legal requirements for data protection (e.g. GDPR and CMA guidelines) or the ability to learn
- An awareness of child safeguarding policy and procedures or the ability to learn
- An interest in higher education and an appreciation of the challenges of working in an academic environment
