Administrative Assistant
Lackawanna College Venture LabAdministrative Assistant handling student financial services inquiries at Lackawanna College. Providing clerical support and excellent customer service to students and families during office hours.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Greet current students/families, prospective students and visitors in a diplomatic manner
- Provides direction and assistance by asking questions and gathering information
- Manages all incoming call, email, calendars for the department
- Provides excellent telephonic customer service
- Takes messages and delivers to appropriate department personnel in a timely manner
- Creates and maintains proper organization of physical and electronic student files and financial aid documents
- Perform clerical functions, including typing, filing, mailings, etc.
- Process cash, checks, credit and debit cards payment transactions for tuition and fees
- Prepares daily deposits in conjunction with accounts payable standards of compliance
- Oversees Transact cashiering as directed
- Tracks and maintains department engagements/priorities on the department calendar
- Updates student information such as address changes
- Manages all requests, orders, purchases, travel and monitors office supplies as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate Degree in Business or related field preferred
- Previous office management experience preferred
- Strong computer/internet skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a minimum
