About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide virtual comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling services for MFM practices, serving a diverse patient population
- Support results reporting program for multiple clients by providing results to patients using an innovative approach of genetic results reporting
- Provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications from an extensive referral base
- Engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, physician education and other projects
- Participate in educational and research initiatives within Labcorp
- Collaborate with a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
- American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC
- Multi State Genetic Counselor licensure or ability to obtain it
- Preferred: 2 years or more experience of prenatal or reproductive Genetic Counseling post completion of Masters Degree
- Preferred: Active ABGC certification
- Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
- Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Application
