About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide virtual comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling services for MFM practices, serving a diverse patient population
  • Support results reporting program for multiple clients by providing results to patients using an innovative approach of genetic results reporting
  • Provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications from an extensive referral base
  • Engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, physician education and other projects
  • Participate in educational and research initiatives within Labcorp
  • Collaborate with a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
  • American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC
  • Multi State Genetic Counselor licensure or ability to obtain it
  • Preferred: 2 years or more experience of prenatal or reproductive Genetic Counseling post completion of Masters Degree
  • Preferred: Active ABGC certification
  • Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
  • Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Application
