About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to patients
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
  • Work in a Patient Service Center or Client office
  • Perform skilled specimen collections and serve as the face of the company

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
  • Ability to travel to additional sites when needed
