About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other tests
Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to patients
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months or more of phlebotomy experience
If substituting work experience, phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Exceptional customer service
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation
Ability to travel to additional sites when needed
Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
