About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing
- Enter patient information accurately and timely
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3 months or more of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may substitute for work experience
- Proven track record of exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 6:45am–11:45am, rotating Saturdays 7:00am–12:00pm
