About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing
Enter patient information accurately and promptly
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to patients
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Work in a Patient Service Center as the face of Labcorp
Perform skilled specimen collections and provide exceptional customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification, completed Phlebotomy training program, or 6 months or more of experience as a phlebotomist
In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Exceptional customer service
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
