About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review and negotiate complex commercial leases, including retail, medical, office, warehouse
Advise on lease amendments, renewals, expansions, terminations, assignments, subleases, and handle landlord‑tenant disputes
Lead legal support for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects
Conduct and advise on due diligence matters
Advise business leaders on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental health and workplace safety laws and regulations
Serve as a trusted advisor to business teams on real estate strategy, risk, and deal structuring

Requirements

What you’ll need

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
5+ years of combined experience in commercial real estate and environmental health & safety (EHS) law, within healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries
Active admission and good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
3+ years of experience reviewing and negotiating commercial leases
3+ years of experience supporting real estate transactions and due diligence activities
2+ years of experience advising on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and workplace safety regulations
2+ years of experience counseling cross-functional stakeholders
