Producing software and documentation that will directly impact products, customers, and patients
Leading technical development projects and performing fact-finding research as required
Providing guidance to others to achieve goals in accordance with established policies
Leveraging expertise to drive decision making
Ensuring project schedules and performance requirements are met
Providing reports to managers and staff on systems and software, including capabilities, performance, and security
Interacting with management on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Biology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering
5 or more years of experience in software engineering
5 or more years of experience with Python, PERL, R, C/C++, Java, or BASH
5 or more years of experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NSG), pipeline development or machine learning
PhD in Bioinformatics, Biology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering (preferred)
4 or more years of experience in Bioinformatics (preferred)
4 or more years of experience with Algorithm development (preferred)
4 or more years of experience with Angular, React, or JavaScript (preferred)
4 or more years of experience with Django, or RESTful APIs (preferred)
4 or more years of experience with SQL, or NoSQL (preferred)
4 or more years of experience with agile software development methodology and practices, git source control, and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) (preferred)
