About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform a full range of CPT coding duties, including reviewing, researching and assigning CPT codes to Labcorp procedures
Serve as a point of contact for CPT coding related questions
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and present information needed to drive meaningful discussion
Prepare comments for stakeholders and present solutions for implementation as needed
Assign CPT coding for Pathology / Laboratory and other disciplines as needed as primary and back up coder
Train for CPC if not currently certified
Other as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years relevant experience or Associate degree with 9+ years relevant experience or HS diploma or GED with 11+ years of relevant experience
5 years of RCM experience
5 years of Laboratory experience
CPC (AAPC) certification
3 years experience in assigning CPT codes
3 years of laboratory experience
2 years experience with CPT coding, CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), AMA (American Medical Association)
1 year of MS Office skills
