About the role

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including account management, customer service, IT, legal/compliance, lab management, human resources, risk management and scientific team leaders in negotiation of contracts and development and writing of competitive bid/RFP proposals
  • Coordinate legal approval of new and renewed contracts, amendments, addenda, statements of work, Bid/RFP releases and responses, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, pricing letters and quotes
  • Identify and review new/existing bid and RFP opportunities via various state and government websites
  • Ensure contracts submitted for legal review have senior management and financial approval and that business issues and approved pricing are addressed
  • Coordinate conference calls and WebEx meetings between key stakeholders
  • Assist coordination with other departments on matters related to contracts and bid responses and prepare responses to customer correspondence and other requests
  • Track all contract documents submitted via iCertis and maintain electronic files of all DNA Identification bid proposals and agreements
  • Conduct research and provide accurate data based on requests and follow up with involved parties to ensure timely client responses
  • Act as backup to other Contract Administrators when needed

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer an Associate’s Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience coordinating legal approval of contracts, amendments, addenda, statements of work, Bid/RFP releases and responses, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, pricing letters and quotes strongly preferred
  • Prior experience identifying and reviewing bid and RFP opportunities via various state and government websites strongly preferred
  • Previous experience within DNA Identity or LES Labcorp Employer Services divisions strongly preferred
  • Experience drafting contractual and other business correspondence preferred
  • Intermediate level of expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook preferred
  • Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and prioritize assignments preferred
  • Applicants who live within 35 miles of Burlington, NC or Durham, NC will follow a hybrid schedule (minimum three in-office days/week)
