About the role
- Assist with the development and analysis of commercial data to support budgeting and backlog forecasting.
- Execute and track sales compensation plans, including quarterly and annual commission payouts.
- Develop tools and utilize systems to enhance visibility into business performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to support senior management decision-making.
- Provide ongoing analytical support to Sales, Proposal Management, and Finance teams.
- Support global Sales with periodic reporting and presentations, including: Bi-weekly Executive Sales reports
- Monthly Analytics Dashboards
- Weekly Contracts Reports
- Recommend improvements to reporting tools and systems to optimize data flow and performance metrics.
- Perform month-end closing tasks, ensuring accurate order capture and reporting.
- Contribute to integration efforts across laboratories to streamline commercial operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree required (BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance)
- 3–5 years of direct finance experience; CRO industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong background in financial analysis and commercial reporting
- Experience working with clients and cross-functional teams
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., algorithms, macros, pivot tables)
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools (Power BI preferred)
- Exceptional math proficiency and attention to detail
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing environments
- Demonstrated ability to innovate, drive results, and pursue process excellence.
