About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute divisional compliance policies, including visitor processing, foreign travel, and restricted parties screening, in accordance with ITAR and EAR
  • Provide compliance guidance to the business population
  • Author U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Commerce license and agreement applications
  • Manage U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Commerce license recordkeeping requirements
  • Review department export authorizations for accuracy and adherence to Corporate Trade policies
  • Implement and ensure adherence to Corporate Trade policies
  • Review the applicability of exemptions and exceptions for the department
  • Maintain the department’s understanding of current U.S. government authorization policies and requirements
  • Work with Sales and Program Management personnel to guide imports and exports of controlled goods
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain regulatory compliance and support international business growth
  • Communicate within and outside the function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures
  • Contribute to departmental goals and operating plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience, or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • Prior knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Broad knowledge of project management
  • Ability to manage projects or processes with no oversight
  • Experience with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR)
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Political Science, or International Studies
  • Ability to effectively coordinate simultaneous activities and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of integrity and discretion
  • Willingness to travel if required
  • Experience with OCR EASE
  • Experience with U.S. customs compliance requirements, including import classification, valuation, country of origin, duty treatment, broker coordination, and entry-document review
  • Familiarity with customs audit readiness, recordkeeping obligations, post-entry corrections, free trade agreement qualification, and cross-functional import/export compliance coordination
