About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as Sensor Operator Subject Matter Expert for WESCAM MX system operation on ground, sea, and airborne platforms
- Provide possible training on WESCAM MX series products and integrated mission systems
- Assist in sales and bid activities requiring operations and integrated mission-system integration responses
- Design, develop, and implement operations and integrated mission systems for customers and internal personnel
- Coordinate, schedule, and execute WESCAM operations, integrated mission-systems support, and training events
- Work with external vendors to develop internal technical expertise for operational and integrated mission-systems support
- Provide input, direction, and training to Field Service Engineers and customers
- Help develop best practices for WESCAM MX-series products and integrated mission systems
- Assist with commissioning WESCAM products integrated on customer platforms
- Support Technical Publications and Logistics Engineering efforts
- Interface with ILS disciplines, Engineering, Field Service, and other WESCAM organizations
- Support validation of Service Procedures as part of New Product Introductions
- Review Technical Publications and Training materials
- Communicate with customers and vendors to coordinate support, operational processes, practices, and procedures
- Build and adjust basic systems to solve problems or integrations for MX-centric demonstrations
- Manage company-owned demonstration assets and logistics for tradeshows and demonstrations
- Integrate MX-series surveillance turrets onto aircraft using FAA-approved installation methods
- Provide onsite and remote customer product demonstrations, integration, setup, testing, operation, and teardown support
- Provide primary support for L3Harris Wescam USA Sales Support and Air Operations
- Support special mission aircraft flight demonstrations, testing, developmental missions, and training at the Loveland facility
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience; or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience operating WESCAM MX-series products in a military or law enforcement environment
- Previous end-user experience with aircraft, tower, ground platform, or aerostat-based MX-10/15 sensor systems is desired
- Airborne Law Enforcement (ALE), Special Operations, AFSOC, DOD, or other similar experience is preferred
- Over 500+ hours of manned airborne operational ISR flight experience is desired
- MC-12, AC-130, P-3/P-8, airborne law enforcement or similar mission experience is desired
- Experience leading teams is desirable
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is preferred
- 4 years’ experience with MS Office applications including Word and Excel and specialized software test programs
- 4 years’ experience communicating clearly (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical customers (internal/external)
- Direct experience with systems integration, software, optical, and electro-mechanical systems is preferred
- Previous work experience with aircraft, tower, ground platform, or aerostat-based MX-Series sensor systems is highly desired
- Familiarity with government contracting is preferred but not required
- Experience communicating with contacts within and outside the department on matters requiring explanation or interpretation to reach understanding/agreement
- Previous success working under limited supervision or autonomously
- Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to travel at least 50% domestically and at least 10% internationally
- Ability to work on-site at the WUSA Air Operations facility in Loveland, Colorado
- Ability to work with aircraft and integrate MX-series surveillance turrets using FAA-approved installation methods
