About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform reliability and safety analyses across a diverse product portfolio
  • Develop and maintain reliability and safety models, including FMECAs, reliability predictions, subsystem hazard analyses, and range safety assessments
  • Communicate analysis findings effectively to stakeholders
  • Provide recommendations to improve product reliability and safety
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and program stakeholders to integrate reliability principles into design processes
  • Design and implement reliability test plans for new products and processes
  • Analyze test anomalies and apply reliability engineering techniques to ensure quality standards
  • Drive program compliance with Reliability and System Safety procedures and standard work requirements
  • Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments
  • Lead fault tree analyses related to product anomalies
  • Travel approximately 10%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Reliability System Safety experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Reliability System Safety experience
  • Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline strongly preferred
  • Advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • Technical experience, preferably in aerospace or defense sectors
  • Experience with reliability analysis
  • Experience developing FMECAs and PFMEСAs
  • Application of MIL-STD-882E
  • Formal coursework in Reliability Engineering preferred
  • Knowledge of solid rocket motor systems desired
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Attention to detail
  • Approximately 10% travel
