About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform reliability and safety analyses across a diverse product portfolio
- Develop and maintain reliability and safety models, including FMECAs, reliability predictions, subsystem hazard analyses, and range safety assessments
- Communicate analysis findings effectively to stakeholders
- Provide recommendations to improve product reliability and safety
- Collaborate with engineering teams and program stakeholders to integrate reliability principles into design processes
- Design and implement reliability test plans for new products and processes
- Analyze test anomalies and apply reliability engineering techniques to ensure quality standards
- Drive program compliance with Reliability and System Safety procedures and standard work requirements
- Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments
- Lead fault tree analyses related to product anomalies
- Travel approximately 10%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Reliability System Safety experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Reliability System Safety experience
- Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline strongly preferred
- Advanced degree in a related field preferred
- Technical experience, preferably in aerospace or defense sectors
- Experience with reliability analysis
- Experience developing FMECAs and PFMEСAs
- Application of MIL-STD-882E
- Formal coursework in Reliability Engineering preferred
- Knowledge of solid rocket motor systems desired
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Attention to detail
- Approximately 10% travel
