About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows servers, client systems, backup systems, network infrastructure, and databases
  • Support engineering applications, processes, and databases for systems at the local site in Palm Bay, FL and across the WAN
  • Build, configure, and maintain physical and virtual Windows and Linux servers in support of program requirements
  • Perform regular system updates, patching, and hardening activities to reduce vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with applicable standards
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment and improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
  • Communicate complex technical issues, risks, and recommendations clearly to management and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 12 years of prior related experience
  • Current active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph
  • 9 years of experience as a Windows System/Network Administrator supporting an enterprise-level domain environment
  • Experience managing Linux operating systems to include Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu
  • Experience supporting Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices
  • Experience with Commvault or similar enterprise level backup system
  • Experience managing large scale network storage systems
  • Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience with Commvault or similar backup solutions
  • Experience managing systems in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
