About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for mechanical component manufacture assembly and integration into rocket engine and power systems products.
  • Designing and planning of layout component fabrication, assembly and material handling, planning of sequence of operations, and specification procedures.
  • Managing processes in accordance with the Lean methodology including process certification and process improvement methods.
  • Prepare, develop, and defend management key strategic manufacturing plans, risk assessments and proposals.
  • Develop rework dispositions and work instructions for a variety of components, assemblies, and materials.
  • Determine tooling requirements to safely support and maintain dimensional requirements.
  • Develop and implement the process of welding of complex configurations on multiple material types.
  • Use engineering and business software to monitor hardware design and engineering changes.
  • Perform risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • A small amount of travel may be required depending on actual assignment.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
  • Specialty within discipline
  • 2 Years of weld experience
  • 2 years machining experience
  • Broad knowledge of project management
  • Ability to obtain a US LEVEL security clearance
