About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical support for each specific program/system (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS and others) L3Harris supports for the FAA.
  • Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment at the customers’ remote locations.
  • Able to work remotely in a scheduled and on-call capacity to various customer locations.
  • Occasionally travelling to remote sites outside your assigned area may be needed.
  • Read/understand/follow equipment drawings and task orders.
  • Possess good admin skills (taking notes and documenting what transpired).
  • Work directly with the NOCC, the SAC, and the Helpdesk over the phone on resolving issues in the field.
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory and personal or company vehicle.
  • Be proactive and prepared for assigned tasks prior to dispatching.
  • Able to work outside regularly scheduled hours (on-call) when/if needed to meet customer’s needs.
  • Lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10ft.
  • Work with your supervisor (ASL) to ensure all L3Harris policies/procedures and program specific policies/procedures are followed.
  • Ability to obtain a FAA Public Trust Security Clearance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and/or local US State REAL ID equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in high stress and visibility environment
  • Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement, such as RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449
  • Excellent working knowledge of fiber
  • Working knowledge of Multiplexers, Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications
  • Working knowledge and usage of various network test equipment: JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital Oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets.
