About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support for each specific program/system (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS and others) L3Harris supports for the FAA.
Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment at the customers’ remote locations.
Able to work remotely in a scheduled and on-call capacity to various customer locations.
Occasionally travelling to remote sites outside your assigned area may be needed.
Read/understand/follow equipment drawings and task orders.
Possess good admin skills (taking notes and documenting what transpired).
Work directly with the NOCC, the SAC, and the Helpdesk over the phone on resolving issues in the field.
Maintain tools, test equipment, parts/electronics, truck stock inventory and personal or company vehicle.
Be proactive and prepared for assigned tasks prior to dispatching.
Able to work outside regularly scheduled hours (on-call) when/if needed to meet customer’s needs.
Lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10ft.
Work with your supervisor (ASL) to ensure all L3Harris policies/procedures and program specific policies/procedures are followed.
Ability to obtain a FAA Public Trust Security Clearance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
Or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and/or local US State REAL ID equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work in high stress and visibility environment
Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement, such as RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449
Excellent working knowledge of fiber
Working knowledge of Multiplexers, Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications
Working knowledge and usage of various network test equipment: JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital Oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets.
