About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and execute subcontract strategies to align with program and organizational objectives, while effectively managing risks and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
Lead negotiations to establish subcontract agreements with favorable terms and conditions.
Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms.
Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance using defined metrics.
Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure subcontractors meet delivery schedules, quality standards, and cost requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, finance, and program management, to ensure subcontract requirements are clearly understood and support program needs.
Identify potential risks associated with subcontracting activities.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address these risks, minimizing impact on project delivery and costs.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant subcontracts experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related subcontracts experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related subcontracts experience.
Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly and ATP processes.
Experience interpreting program management, engineering and supplier demands in a continuously changing environment with minimal guidance.
Working capability in the use of typical office computer programs for conduct of program management such as MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word.
Experience in supporting supplier contracts above the TINA ($2M) with minimal guidance.
