About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute subcontract strategies to align with program and organizational objectives, while effectively managing risks and ensuring compliance with procurement policies
- Lead negotiations to establish subcontract agreements with favorable terms and conditions
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring all parties adhere to agreed terms
- Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance using defined metrics
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure subcontractors meet delivery schedules, quality standards, and cost requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, finance, and program management, to ensure subcontract requirements are clearly understood and support program needs
- Identify potential risks associated with subcontracting activities
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address these risks, minimizing impact on project delivery and costs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant subcontracts experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related subcontracts experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related subcontracts experience
- Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly and ATP processes
- Experience interpreting program management, engineering and supplier demands in a continuously changing environment with minimal guidance
- Working capability in the use of typical office computer programs for conduct of program management such as MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Word
- Experience in supporting supplier contracts above the TINA ($2M) with minimal guidance.
