About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows servers, client systems, backup systems, network infrastructure, and databases.
- Provide end user desktop support for systems and applications at the local site and across the classified WAN.
- Build, configure, and maintain physical and virtual Windows servers in support of program requirements.
- Perform regular system updates, patching, and hardening activities to reduce vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Communicate complex technical issues, risks, and recommendations clearly to management and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph
- 6 years of experience as a System/Network Administrator supporting an enterprise-level domain environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, networking protocols, PowerShell, and security best practices
- Experience supporting Linux systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8/9, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Experience with Commvault or similar enterprise level backup system
- Experience with VMware or similar virtualization platforms
- Experience with Ansible
- Experience managing systems in compliance with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
