About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and contribute to engineering activities across the full program lifecycle
- Serve as a technical and team leader within a larger program team
- Manage project execution through schedule development and maintenance
- Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and opportunities
- Lead engineering efforts across material selection, manufacturing, assembly, integration, testing, and design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA)
- Prepare and present project status, financial, and technical updates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines from an ABET Accredited program
- Minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- 4+ years experience with mechanical detailed design and new product development, manufacturing processes, and MCAD modeling tools
- Experience managing technical, cost, and schedule performance in a professional setting
- Professional experience leading a technical team
