About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Troubleshoot and repair complex field issues, including depot‑level maintenance (PDM, EDLM, UDLM)
Perform fault isolation across integrated subsystems including telescope control systems (TCS), dome control systems (DCS), environmental monitoring systems (EMS), facility control group (FCG), and optical/mechanical assemblies
Provide technical assistance to on‑site personnel and coordinate with engineering, logistics, and program teams to resolve issues
Prepare and review trip reports and technical documentation, including AFTO, CDRL, and TO updates (V&V and redlines)
Lead or support projects, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and provide guidance or training to team members
Ensure compliance with safety, configuration control, export rules, and all operational procedures
Meet physical requirements, including working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, lifting 40 lbs, and operating in various weather conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Active SECRET clearance
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Able to travel up to 40% of the time (Travel to Australia)
Must be able to obtain a US Passport
Must be able to obtain a 403B VISA for Australia
Must be physically able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift 40lbs weight
