Key responsibilities & impact

Design packages for electronic parts and equipment
Use Pro Engineer and/or Creo to design and document methods
Communicate designs verbally and in writing
Interface and support Engineering, Purchasing, QA, and Manufacturing
Investigate new packing materials and methods
Participate in tests to simulate shipping conditions
Prepare and submit specifications or sketches of cartons and packing agents

Requirements

What you’ll need

College degree in Graphic Design (preferred)
Experience or knowledge of industrial drafting and design
5 years background in the design of packaging for electronic parts
5 years experience using a CAD tool
Associates degree or greater in Design
Proven ability to evaluate manufacturing capability of packing material from subcontractors
Proven ability to evaluate design capability of packing material subcontractors
Knowledge of Government and Commercial standards concerning packaging and documentation
