Key responsibilities & impact

Directly supervise five (5) remote Field Technicians across the Washington D.C. Airspace
Provide both general and technical training and guidance to team members
Ensure team members are following and implementing proper program and company policies, procedures, and protocol
Allocate team resources effectively and efficiently to support program operational needs
Proactively obtain customer feedback and provide support and guidance to the team
Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance of personal computers, network equipment, and/or telecommunications equipment
Work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs and respond to after-hours emergency calls
Travel (up to 100% at a time) to remote sites or outside assigned regions

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
Experience working with fiber, Multiplexes, Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications
Experience with cable connectors and replacement including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449
Experience with power testing, AD and DC including 3 Phase AC
Experience with the operation of the 24V DC & 48V DC power supplies
Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications, DS3 Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell Core Standards
Experience with Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital O-scope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets
Experience with Microsoft or UNIX operating systems and the components of the MS Office Suite
CCNA, CCNP, A+, MCP or MCDST, Dell Certified on desktop and laptop
Experience with service dispatch centers
Experience with interfacing with the customer
