About the role
- Support customer-funded programs and internal research efforts
- Design high-precision and complex space opto-mechanical telescopes hardware
- Create/modify CAD models using top-down modeling techniques using CREO
- Interface with outside suppliers/customers and other engineering disciplines
- Present design details at program reviews to customers
- Develop and perform testing to show proof-of-concept
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
- in lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- 4+ years in CAD modeling and design tools
- Professional experience with opto-mechanical engineering
- Professional experience designing systems for space environments
