About the role

  • Support development and integration of Satellite Ground Systems solutions
  • Work with team lead to help decompose the work needed to implement new features or address defects within the operational software.
  • Work with the development team using agile methodologies combined with mature software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
  • Develop new software and adapt existing software by implementing new capabilities.
  • Maintain cognizance of industry tools, best practices, and procedures.
  • Interface with customers to understand use cases and define requirements, design Cloud capable solutions, support system level testing, and field the solution in customer environments to support the mission
  • Communicate with leadership on status, issues, milestones, and successes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior software experience
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior software experience
  • Linux and Linux tools (sed, grep, awk, top, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Python, javascript/nodejs/typescript
  • Postgres or other SQL database experience
  • Cloud platform experience (e.g., AWS)
  • Experience with Agile development processes (Agile, Scrum, Continuous Delivery)
  • Experience with Agile software development best practices and tools (SAFe, Jira, Git, etc.) and participation in continuous Agile planning and coordination.
  • Ability to get a SECRET clearance which requires US Citizenship.
