About the role
- Direct support personnel in the day-to-day execution of manufacturing tasks on the production floor.
- Provide technical expertise and support related to manufacturing
- Develop and support new methods and processes to improve existing and new operations
- Monitor defect trends, support and implement process improvements through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support and lead teams to resolve the manufacturing production yield, quality, and reliability issues.
- Monitor production processes for efficiency, throughput, and safety improvements.
- Provide advanced technical support to solve problems through process improvements related to manufacturing products.
- Interface with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure hardware producibility, developing build strategies.
- Design and develop manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems.
- Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
- Read and understand Assembly Drawings.
- Work interactively and effectively in a team environment.
- Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance upon hire
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, and or Manufacturing engineering preferred
- Experience with soldering and working with delicate electronic components
- Working knowledge of IPC/J-STD, Space Addendum workmanship requirements
- Familiarity with production processes such as Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, SPC, and FMEA
- Proficiency with Control or similar MRP-based systems, and Aegis-based Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
