About the role

  • Oversee all manufacturing engineers across MRO, production, and SMT operations.
  • Drive process improvements, new program implementations, and equipment integration throughout the facility.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and performance management for the manufacturing engineering team.
  • Champion continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
  • Oversee development and implementation of manufacturing processes, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives including automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Lead new program introductions and equipment installations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Manage capital equipment planning and departmental budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt preferred)
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as additive manufacturing, automated assembly systems, or smart factory concepts.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing execution systems (MES), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analytics tools.
  • Experience in defense or aerospace manufacturing with understanding of AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing, particularly SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations.
  • Strong change management skills with ability to lead organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent, with ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM systems and simulation software for manufacturing process optimization.
