About the role
- Oversee and manage the delivery of critical hardware components for RS-25 Turbomachinery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality assurance, and supply chain
- Lead and coordinate technical efforts with suppliers
- Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers
- Provide technical oversight and support to suppliers
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with hardware delivery
- Ensure all delivered hardware meets strict quality and reliability standards
- Maintain thorough documentation of supplier progress, issues, and resolutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field preferred
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field preferred
- In depth knowledge of procurement, ERP, and supplier coordination
- Knowledge and understanding of hardware fabrication, GD&T, dimensional inspection techniques, and Non-destructive testing (FPI, X-ray, etc.)
- Knowledge of turbomachinery operation
- Experience with creating and managing integrated master schedules
- Experience with Material Review for nonconforming hardware
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
- Experience with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong understanding of turbomachinery components and engine requirements
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
