About the role
- Develop and execute a clear vision and strategy while fostering an engaged, high-performance team capable of excelling in collaboration, innovation, and responsiveness to customer and business needs.
- Oversee engineering resource planning and project management, ensuring that project teams meet customer commitments within allocated budgets and schedules.
- Identify and drive strategic initiatives aimed at improving the overall performance of the engineering organization.
- Deliver comprehensive presentations in a clear and concise manner to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Enforce engineering discipline and rigor to ensure quality and disciplined execution across all engineering activities including program, IR&D project, and engineering gate reviews.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and growth opportunities for both engineering and management staff within the organization.
- Attract, hire, retain, and grow top talent, fostering a cohesive culture that emphasizes innovation, creativity, execution, transparency, and collaboration.
- Oversee critical elements of the bid and proposal process, including technical and cost baseline reviews and basis of estimate approvals.
- Contribute to new business initiatives by cultivating cross-functional relationships in business development and ensuring strategic alignment across business areas.
- Ability to obtain an FAA Position of Public Trust clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/,Aerospace, Physics or related science an engineering field with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience.
- Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- 10 years of system life-cycle development experience with aerospace and telecommunication systems including system design, development, integration, analysis, and verification.
- Direct experience with FAA surveillance systems.
- RTCA DO-278 compliance experience.
- Experience with micro services architecture and cloud architecture.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- Experience in air surveillance systems, including radar, sensors, and data fusion technologies.
