About the role
- Plan, schedule and conduct audits of documented policies, procedures and practices of the quality system.
- Act as a resource for the site to understand compliance to AS9100.
- Perform Quality Management System (QMS) audits.
- Collect and analyze evidence to determine whether processes being audited produce quality product.
- Perform follow-up actions to ensure that corrective actions have been effectively implemented.
- Review audit related root cause and corrective action submittals.
- Create substantive and meaningful audit reports.
- Report results to management.
- Populate audit database with internal & external audit results.
- Coordinate and support external customer and third party audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Quality experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related Quality experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Quality experience.
- Firm understanding of Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of quality management systems based on AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001 standards.
- Understanding of basic audit principles and practices.
- Demonstrated competence in clearly expressing concepts and ideas orally and in writing and have good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and related specifications.
- Analytical and problem solving skills to interpret and evaluate data and processes.
- Familiar with manufacturing process planning and ability to ensure compliance with drawing, specification and contractual requirements.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
