About the role

  • Oversee and coordinate security efforts across Australia & New Zealand
  • Develop, mentor and guide regional company representatives to maintain a cost-effective security program
  • Lead the single Defense Industry Security Program (DISP) membership that governs all L3Harris business units in Australia
  • Design and execute a comprehensive security strategy aligned with government and enterprise frameworks
  • Provide security advice to senior leaders
  • Maintain the company’s crisis management and emergency response preparedness
  • Develop policies and procedures designed to maintain the company’s security accreditation and guarantee business continuity
  • Analyse business activities to identify and mitigate against potential risks
  • Review and update security controls in accordance with government requirements and advice from associated agencies
  • Represent L3Harris on security advisory boards
  • Carry out internal and external audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with DISP, PSPF and other regulatory requirements across all Australian and New Zealand locations and facilities
  • A level of travel interstate and internationally may be required.

Requirements

  • Hold an active NV2 Australian Defence Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Positive Vetting clearance where required
  • Experience in a Senior Security position within in a defence or government organisation involving classified programs
  • Deep understanding of PSPF, DISP, ISM, and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong crisis management, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Must also have experience in working with but not limited to: export control, foreign Government information, emergency management, policy development, counterintelligence, and risk analysis
  • Conversant with stakeholder communications and delivery of corporate presentations
  • Knowledge of Australia Security Standards and relevant regulatory bodies
  • Highly developed policy development and implementation capabilities
  • Successful history in similarly fast-paced and complex technical environments
  • Self-starting, inquisitive, highly-driven individuals, with good business acumen and an eye for practical outcomes, are best suited to the performance profile of this role.
