About the role

  • Participate in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations
  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees
  • Oversee the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for various aircraft platforms
  • Ensure proposals are vetted for accuracy in cost, scope, and schedule
  • Ensure program airworthiness, customer, and company requirements are understood and met

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering, or similar with 9 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 7 years of related experience
  • Minimum 6 months experience running total lifecycle of programs including proposals, bids, planning, assessing/managing risk, and execution
  • Minimum 5 years aircraft design related experience
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance preferred
  • Understanding of aircraft systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
