About the role
- Participate in the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for aircraft structures, mission equipment installations, and mechanical systems installations
- Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees
- Oversee the design of detail parts, assemblies, and installations for various aircraft platforms
- Ensure proposals are vetted for accuracy in cost, scope, and schedule
- Ensure program airworthiness, customer, and company requirements are understood and met
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering, or similar with 9 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 7 years of related experience
- Minimum 6 months experience running total lifecycle of programs including proposals, bids, planning, assessing/managing risk, and execution
- Minimum 5 years aircraft design related experience
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance preferred
- Understanding of aircraft systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
